The Aesir are the residents of Asgard. Not made up of one race, they are a blending of many different creatures and entities from across [[The Nine Realms]]. [[Odin]] descends from [[Ice Giant]]s and [[Frost Giant]]s, while his wife [[Freyja]] descends from the [[Vanir]].

Aesir are physically extremely strong and incredibly tough. They are slightly larger than humans. Virtually every Aesir has superhuman strength, stamina, and durability. They can lift twenty to thirty tons, survive tremendous falls, and even have some resistance to small arms fire.

Asgardians do not have an innate talent for magic, though they make ready use of it in their society. Close relationships with [[Vanaheim]] and [[Nidavellir]] helps them maintain an aggressive warlike footing at all times. Military service is the highest social caste.
