The Central Power Battery on [[Oa]] is a conduit and a battery for the green energy of the [[Emotional Electromagnetic Spectrum]]. It was constructed by the Oans millions of years ago as a means of focusing the collective willpower of their entire species. This device allowed them to relay their enormous power to their legions of [[Martian Manhunters|Martian Manhunter]] robots. Later, after [[Krypton]] rose, they transferred this power to their newly formed [[Green Lantern Corps]].

The Central Power Battery is also a jail, housing the most dangerous enemy to Oa and the Lantern Corps: [[Parallax]], the [[ideologue|ideologuic]] manifestation of Fear.
