Hundreds of world leaders and people in prominent positions of power were revealed to be Skrull agents, and began a campaign to abduct hundreds of key individuals-- human and metahuman alike-- to study Earth's genetic makeup and harvest [[Celestial]] DNA.

[[Wayne Industries]] developed a sensor device that could detect Skrull agents using common handheld cell phones. In less than six months, virtually all Skrull agents were caught and forced to withdraw from Earth.
