Elder beings that are among the oldest of all races. The First Gods are creatures that existed partially in and out of our reality, suspended in the Astral plane that glues the multiverses together.
Billions of years ago, the First Gods were annihilated in a war with Oa and the Celestials. Their home destroyed, the First Gods fled in infinite directions at the speed of thought.
Note: The resettled First Gods later became known as the Elder Gods. Their children are the New Gods.
References to Old Gods refers to wholly alien creatures from R'lyeh known as Great Old Ones.
