Kheran

During the Kryptonian Wars, a splinter faction of Kryptonians fled the Kryptonian Hegemony and found a new planet to dwell on. They called this planet Khera and somewhat politely subjugated the race occupying that planet, the Titanthropes.

Unfortunately the colonists did not avoid the Oan genetic plague. After arriving on Khera, their birth rates plummeted to nearly nothing. Eventually the Kryptonians discovered that they could crossbreed with the Titanthropes, resulting in a new race that could be accurately described as the 'true' Kherans. The introduction of new genetic code into the genetic stock resulted in unpredictable capabilities for these young Kheran hybrids.

So called 'Noble' Kherans who were members of the original Kryptonian colony are long lived to the point of being immortal. They tend to have a more homogeneous appearance than their Kheran children and more consistent genetic markers. Kheran nobility have much more limited abilities than their Kryptonian cousins but are long lived to the point of immortality.

Khera eventually clashed for control of their planetary system with a race of shapeshifting creatures called Daemonites from a nemesis-type planetary body opposite Khera. The war would be extremely prolonged and follow both species from system to system as they sought out other places to live. Wherever Kherans settled, Daemonites would follow.

In particular, Daemonite and Kheran forces clashed over Earth in 1800 BCE. The battle resulted in several ships being shot down in the isolated valley nation of Wakanda. With Daemonites attempting to subvert and possess humans, the Wakandans and Kherans allied to fight off the Daemonite armies. They successfully routed the Daemonites and Wakandans and Kherans eventually co-mingled as a single tribe, becoming the mighty nation of Wakanda.
