Under the guise of offering experimental medical therapy to the chronically ill, Dr. Killebrew and his associate [[Francis Fanny]] transported individuals to Weapon X and performed radical gene therapies in an attempt to trigger a metagene crisis. Hospice also became a home for the rejected experiments produced by Weapon X, often thrust into gladiatorial combat and brutally tortured as part of a last ditch effort to glean any scientific information from their deaths.
