• -1,000,000: Celestials Seed Earth - Billions of Years Ago: The Celestials seed earth with wildcard genetic templates as part of their endless genetic research schemes, triggering the evolutionary steps towards the rise of Homo Sapien. They create Homo Immortalis (The Eternals) to guard and protect Earth until the Celestials return. (1MYA)
• -1,000,000: Origin of the species - 1-4 Billion Years ago: Several races rise to the forefront of galactic power. The Oan race, known as the Guardians of the Universe, change the growth and development of thousands of young races and worlds. The Kree-Shi'ar empire rises as an influential militant power in certain star sectors. The Watchers, among the oldest and most powerful of all races, adopt a position of careful non-aggression and observation. Various races rise and fall. Oan researchers attempt to interfere with the creation of the Universe, and the backlash shatters Oa's ability to use magic for all time. All Oan magical force condenses into the Starheart and they are left neutered. It is the back and forth of these major galactic empires that forms much of the history of the cosmos. (1MYA)
• -750,000: Titan Civil War - The Titans of Titanos go to war with each other. Kronos and Oceanus fight Ouranos over whether or not not enslave the native humans. Ouranos and his faction are exiled. (750KYA)
• -750,000: Titan-Kree War - The exiled Titan Ouranos conquers a Kree outpost on Uranus. The Kree counterattack kills all but seven Eternals alive, who found the colony of Titan around Saturn. (750KYA)
• -700,000: Thanos leaves Titan - The Divergent Titan, Thanos, abandons his home on Saturn. The last son of Mentor and Sui-San, he embraces a nihilistic obsession with Death. He leaves Titan and returns at the head of a vast army, leaving only a hundred Eternals alive before being defeated. (700KYA)
• -100,000: Skrull Empire - The Skrull Empire is at their height of power, controlling huge swathes of the Andromeda galaxy and often wrangling with the Kree Empire of the Milky Way. They are barred from outright conquest by order of Oa.
• -50,000-01-01: Kryptonian Expansion - Kryptonians develop interstellar flight. In only a few generations, they explode into the universe in a wave of violent expansion. Colonies pop up in dozens of star systems.
• -49,500: Oa-Krypton War Begins - Unchecked Kryptonian aggression threatens the peace of the galaxy. Oa's Green Lantern Corps is severely depleted in trying to contain them, allowing the Skrull/Kree war to explode again.
• -49,001-01-01: Terrigen Mist Deployed - A Kree research colony lands on Earth. Considering it a backwards, savage planet, the Kree experiment readily on her natives. Much of the Kree research involves augmentation using Skrull biogenetic information. They also experiment on a dangerously unstable new power matrix-- the Cosmic Cube. Such is the power of the cube that it kills every Kree researcher in the colony. Earth is deemed 'off-limits' for a score of millennia.
• -49,000: Vandal Savage Born - Vandal Savage is born in Siberia. Dying, wounded by nomads, he shelters in the remains of the Kree facility. He finds the Cosmic Cube and wishes 'to survive'. The Cube grants his desire and Vandal Savage becomes immortal. The cube goes inert, having granted Vandal his 'one wish'. Vandal studies the Kree, and uses the station as a base of operations. He uses the Terrigen Gasses to try and form a race of powerful, perfectly loyal warriors. Instead, the first Inhumans turn on Savage and banish him. They use the Kree tenchology to move their city to more hospitable climes, thousands of miles south.
• -48,000: Planet Khera is settled - Kryptonian colonists land on Khera and begin colonizing it. Over time, Khera loses touch with their mother planet and develops their own culture.
• -46,000: Aged Ghengis finds the Vishanti - The mortal Ghengis, born to the Indus Valley civilization, seeks wisdom from the Vishanti. He approaches Oshtur, Hoggoth (a refugee God from the First World), and Oshtur's son, Agamotto. The Vishanti, forseeing a need for guardians of magic, grant Aged Ghengis the mystical knowledge of the universe he seeks, on the condition that he assists in overseeing the testing and selection of the Sorceror Supreme.
• -44,001-01-01: Formation of the Demiurge - Oa seeks a solution to the unchecked might of Krypton. They locate several refugees from the Godwave wars and coerce them into aiding their plans. The Oans and these Old Gods tame a mass of magical energy and give it sapience, creating the Demiurge.
• -44,000-01-03: New Genesis and Apokalips Formed - When Oa creates the Asgard Solution, another world splinters off of the Nine Realms. Twin planets, New Genesis and Apokalips, sprout from the Demiurge and slip into a pocket dimension. Echoing spirits of the deceased Old Gods of antiquity, the New Gods become beings of immense power. Concerned with the possibility of New Genesis becoming too powerful to control, Oa nudges one named Uxas to explore the Omega Realm; this newly evolved "god" takes the name Darkseid.
• -44,000-01-02: Asgard Created - Buri the First claims the power of the Demiurge and leads Asgard to glory against Kryptonian Imperialism.
• -44,000-01-04: The Conclave of Gods - Many sub-dimensions come into being, all around the Nine Realms. Extradimensional spirits and beings flock to these dimensions; many cultures base their religious worship on these ancient entities. The Olympians, Vishnu and the Gods of the Indian culture; the Amerind animal spirits; the gods of Egypt and Wakanda all are formed during this timeframe.
• -44,000-01-05: Atlantis Rises - All magic on earth focuses in Atlantis. The society explodes with magical power and in the space of a few generations becomes a vast and powerful nation, using magic in lieu of technology.
• -43,000-01-01: End of the Krypton-Oa Detente - Oa releases a genetic plague with a slow incubation rate. Less than fifty years later, the dormant virus sterilizes 99.999% of exposed Kryptonians. Oan agents irradiate the meteor belt around Krypton, forming Kryptonite and preventing Kryptonians from leaving their solar system. Oa also triggers the Starkiller protocol, which dims Kryptons sun to a low, useless red.
• -43,000: Avalon Created - The immense mystical energies compressing the Demiurge threaten the very fabric of the multiverse. The first Sorceror Supreme, an Atlantean called Merlyn, speaks to the Vishanti. A plan is hatched and the dimension known as Otherworld is formed to seal off the wound in reality. All Vishanti, in all realities, synchronize their powers to prevent the wound from tearing open wider; Merlyn anchors himself permanently as an echo shared across all multiverses, his life force permanently tied to Otherworld.
• -42,000: Morgana Flees Atlantis - Morgana of Atlantis is revealed to be meddling with the very fabric of reality where Earth borders the Fourth Worlds and other local dimensions. She is betrayed by her consort, the immortal Vandal Savage. She flees Atlantis barely steps ahead of a death squad, and ends up in Otherworld, where she studies the magics of the Elder Gods under Merlyn. Aiding Merlyn, she forms the Unseelie Courts; Winter Fae to guard the Gates of Reality that guard the rip in the heart of Otherworld, and the Summer Court to keep Winter in check.
• -40,000-0-01: Bor Rules Asgard - Bor discovers his father Buri's allegience is to Oa, not to the Demiurge or its attendant worlds. He defeats his father in combat and takes the throne.
• -40,000: Otherworld is conquered - Morgana le Fey engages with her former lover Vandal Savage and launches a campaign to conquer Otherworld. She reaches into the Realm Between Worlds and draws forth a strange stone. The High Goddess Brigid, of the Tuatha de Danann, forges it into a blade, which Morgana gives to Vandal Savage. He attemps to murder Merlin, but Morgana relents at the last moment and intervenes. Vandal is thrown back to Earth clutching a shard of the metal, and Merlin is greivously wounded. Morgana ousts Merlyn from control of Otherworld. He withdraws to the Starlight Citadel, leaving Morgana otherwise in control of that dimension. Merlin reforges the broken blade into a sword and holds it in stewardship until a great king is needed.
• -18,250-01-02: Thanagar Rises - Oa finds a military young spacefaring race called Thanagarians and modifes their Nth-metal weapons to be particularly effective against magic. Thanagar goes to war with Asgard, buying the Oans time to decide how to respond.
• -18,000-01-01: Asgard Rebels - Bor leads Asgard's armies in an attack on the Kree when they invade the Nine Realms. The militant Kree are driven backwards handily, and Asgard starts looking to Oa as their next target.
• -18,000-01-03: Martians Sundered - The Burning Ones of Mars develop interstellar flight and threaten nearby Earth. Oa deploys a genetic plague that sterilizes The Burning and splits them into Green and White Martians. Asgard attacks Martian forces threatening Earth
• -17,000-01-01: Ragnarok - Oa triggers the Rangarnok Cycle to 'reboot' Asgard, ending the Thanagarian-Asgard wars. Bor leaves for parts unknown, shamed by the role he played in this cycle. Odin is now King and solely carries the memory of old Asgard, as well as the knowledge of the Ragnarok protocol. The Demiurge's immune-system response is a catclysm of fire and magic that sunders and separates many worlds for millennia.
• -17,000-01-07: Atlantis Falls Into the Sea - Feedback from Ragnarok destroys Atlantean magic and sinks the city. The machinations of the Illuminati are sufficient to delay and dither the Atlantean response to the incipient crisis, until it is too late. A few thousand surviving Atlanteans are flung to the four winds, bearing the genetic capacity for Homo Magi with them. Humanity's progress is set back tens of thousands of years, and Earth enters the Hyborean Age.
• -16,501: Shi'ar Empire Expands - In the power vacuum left by the loss of Krypton and Asgard, a race of warlike avians known as the Shi'ar start to expand their borders. They swiftly reach a detente with the Kree and Skrull.
• -16,500: Conan and the Hyborean Era - The loss of Atlantis leaves humanity scattered across the world at near Stone-Age levels of technology. Fragments of Atlantean knowledge are recovered and humanity quickly returns to a low Bronze Age of technology, despite the intense ice age wracking the planet. Red Sonja and Conan travel Hyborea. Magic in Earth becomes weakened; monsters roam the world, mutated by the magical feedback of Atlantis' collapse. Only a few gods remain, much limited in power and trapped on Earth. Human magic grows weaker, but only the strongest magical lineages survive the apocalypse. Merlyn the Magician and many of the gods are unable to easily access Earth.
• -16,000: Martian Sabotage - The White Martians resume their invasion of Earth. Their advanced technology reveals traces of Celestial DNA strains in humans. The Martian invasion force encounters the Inhumans and ousts them from the Kree science colony vessel. A genetic plague is released that eliminates Celestial DNA in 99.9% of the population of Earth. White Martians attempt to build permanent portals to their homeworld, but the damage to the Demiurge destabilizes their efforts. The portal remains intermittently active in Central America.
• -15,995: Martian Civil War - The Green Martians gain enough of a foothold on Mars to pursue their enemies to Earth. They assist the Inhumans with retaking their home and the White Martians are banished through the dimensional portal they had built. The Inhumans burn down 100,000 acres of rain forest and kill the thousand remaining Martians. Green Martians are so horrified that they abandon their colonies on Earth.
• -14,000: The Rise of Zarathos - Zarathos returns to Earth, breaking free from a cage set by Merlyn. The demon sets about a rampage of consuming souls. With the gods sealed away, a band of surviving descendents of Atlantis ally with an ancient monastic order known as The Spirits of Vengeance. Together, they manage to destroy Zarathos' body and bind its impotent spirit to the remains.
• -12,000: First Civilizations Rise - After eight thousand years, the Cosmic Cube is found once more. It is used to 'jumpstart' the wounded Demiurge and rebuild the broken bridges between the various dimensions. The Conclave of Gods is revived and they begin accumulating worshippers and guide nomads into forming the first agrarian societies.
• -11,500: Khera-Daemon War - Daemonites attack Khera, sparking a bloody war that lasts thousands of years. It's mostly contained between the Kherans and Daemonites, becoming a historical footnote for greater races.
• -5,000: Ein-Saba-Nur is born - Ein-Saba-Nur is born in Egypt, one of the first new Metahumans in millennia. He is so hideous that he is abandoned in the desert at birth.
• -4,500: Nabu the Wise comes to Earth - One of the Lords of Order, of the First Gods, arrives on Earth. Calling itself Nabu, it becomes a benevolent ally of humanity for millennia while magic slowly returns to Earth. It creates many magical artifacts during its time on Earth, including the Helmet of Nabu, the Scarab of Ka-Ef-Re, and the Amulet of Anubis.
• -4,250: Thanagar crashes into Egypt - A ship bearing two Thanagarian scouts crashes into the desert near Gerzeh, in future Egypt. Worshipped as gods, Katar and Shayera Hol bring Egyptian culture several hundred years forward in the space of a few years. Nabu the Wise, disguised as a humble magician, aids them and uses their Nth-Metal resources to create the Claw of Horus and other relics. They are assassinated by their majordomo, but the god Horus-Re sets their souls on an endless cycle of death and resurrection, spanning both Earth and Thanagar.
• -3,800: Daemonites arrive on Earth - In high orbit, a Kheran warfleet engages Daemonite forces. The resulting ground battle forces several ships to crash to Earth near Wakanda. The badly injured Daemonites struggle to maintain their powers of possession, and end up working largely in shadows in an attempt to create a suitable human subject for long-term possession. Kherans intermarry and breed with humans, though over the years original Kherans start to perish and die until only a few remain. The lineage of Kherubim becomes the royal bloodline of Wakanda.
• -3,600: Atillan Discovered - The wandering, displaced Inhumans discern the location of a long-forgotten Atleantean colony. They succeed in taking it for themselves, using Kree science to make another mobile colony ship.
• -3,500: Inhumans War with Wakanda - The last remnants of the Kherubim refugees style themselves overlords of Wakanda. With their technology wearing out and lacking necessary equipment, they seek out and lay siege to the Inhuman colony. The Cosmic Cube is found, used, and lost again, creating the massive reserves of Vibranium in Wakanda. The Inhumans survive, albeit with many casualties. The Kree science vessel is destroyed while in flight, and the wreckage is scattered across thousands of miles as the colony ship crashes into the North Arctic seas. Priests of Bastet restore social order, leading to a dark age in Wakanda. Only the Royal Family records maintain an accounting of what is lost and do not share this 'heresy' with anyone outside the family.
• -3,400: Themyscira Founded - The City-State of Themyscira is founded in what will be the nation of Turkey, and populated by the Amazon Women. They are immortal and empowered by the Greek Gods with great strength, virtue, and wisdom.
• -3,349: Semiramis banished - Merlyn returns and with the aid of Nabu, banishes Semiramis from Earth and reclaims the title of Sorceror Supreme.
• -3,350: Amazons Betrayed - Sorceress Supreme Semiramis styles herself as Queen of Nimrud. She encourages Hercules to ransack Themyscira. Antiope and Hippolyta fight and lead their sisters to freedom. Antiope takes a third of the Amazons and strikes out after the Mycenean armies, directly causing the collapse of the Mycenaen Empire and leading to the Dark Ages of Greece. They form the city of Baina-Mighdall. Hippolyta takes her sisters to a secret island in the Aegean, hidden from man; there, they found a New Themyscira.
• -2,600: White Council is Formed - Merlyn founds the White Council to guide and regulate magic users in the world. Members of the White Council must agree to obey the Seven Laws of Magic or face death at the hands of the Wardens; over the years, the Council has been known to make membership 'non-optional' for aspiring magic users.
• -2,100: Starheart Fragment Crashes in China - A fragment of the Starheart arrives in China in the form of a meteor. It is shaped into a lantern's flame by a man named Chang.
• -1,970: Death of Christ - The man known as Jesus is crucified in the Roman prafecture of Judea. The Legionnaire Casca Longinus is given a strange spear and stabs him in the ribs. This spear goes on to become the Lance of Longinus. Capable of bestowing true immortality and killing any immortal, it is one of the most powerful relics in the universe.
