Strategic Scientific Reserve

The Strategic Scientific Reserve was a department of the Allied War Effort tasked with studying exotic and alien materials and sciences in an attempt to enhance warfighters. Products of the SSR research included the Super-Soldier program, Captain Steve Rogers, and insight into Kree and Skrull research into the human genome.

The SSR was dissolved at in 1949, and with the signing of the North Atlantic Treaty, was reintegrated as a component of SHIELD.
