Annunaki

The Annunaki were New Gods worshipped primarily by the ancient Mesapotamian cultures. Their domain was known as Dilmun, and located extremely close to Earth.

Members of the Annunaki included Marduk, Martul, Nergal, Tiamat, Lahmu, and Lahamu, all direct descendents of Gaea and the Demiurge.

When the realms of Yggdrasil were shattered by Ragnarok, the Annunaki's close ties to Gaea and the world allowed them to maintain close ties to mortals. They made frequent visits to Earth, particularly to defend their worshippers from extra-worldly invaders and supernatural threats.
