Vic Sage
Vic Sage was one of the costumed vigilantes to carry the identity of 'The Question'. He was born in Hub City in 1946. A future student of the Mystery Man Wesley Dodds, Sage brought his detective skills to bear in the corrupt metropolis of Hub City in the 1950s and 1960s. He was instrumental in preventing the Cuban Missile Crisis from turning into all-out war with Russia, dramatically intercepting John F Kennedy in the White House seconds before the President was to order the activation of all DEO operatives and launch Naval destroyers towards Cuba.
After 1983, Sage moved from Hub City to Gotham. He worked more as a consulting detective as he entered his 40s and did less work as a costumed vigilante. During this timeframe he was sought out by an angry, disillusioned young man named Walter Kovacs. Unbalanced and mentally ill, Kovacs eventually broke from Sage and adopted the moniker 'Rorschach'. Sage retired almost entire after that, sinking into a deep depression.
After the vigilante known as Bruce Wayne entered the scene, Vic was diagnosed with lung cancer. He began mentoring a young woman named Renee Montoya. Vic Sage succumbed to his lung cancer in 2013.
